Berta came to the Pug Queen from the California Central Valley. She ended up at a city shelter very dirty with all the signs of being an outdoor breeder pug. She was quickly transported to a great vet and Berta was spayed and had all her medical issues addressed. She was then fostered and introduced to life as an inside the house pug. She very quickly became comfortable with lying on comfy beds and now likes to snuggle with any other pug willing to share a bed. Berta is approximately 5 years old. She had no clue how to walk on a leash but has mastered that skill and now loves to go for walks. For some unknown reason she did not do well with a senior kitty at a previous foster home, so we are thinking that it would be best for her to avoid living with cats 😻 Berta is so ready for a chance to start the next chapter of her life, living in a home where she will get the love and care she deserves.
